Mandi currently operates and trains all sport athletes and volleyball players at PRIME ATHLETES in Lawndale, CA.  She is recognized as an avid athlete and expert in sports performance and volleyball training, but more importantly a role model and mentor for helping kids maximize their athletic potential. With her contagious enthusiasm, focused energy, and passion for athletics, she continues to motivate, challenge and inspire kids to reach peak performance.

  She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through NSCA, a Certified Speed, Agility and Quickness Trainer (SAQ) through NESTA, a Certified Instructor through ACE, an active participant in Vern Gambetta Sports Training Systems and USA Volleyball High Performance Camps.  Her expertise has been relied on by amateur and professional organizations and players including the AVP, NCAA, Mira Costa High Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Water Polo and Track, South Bay AYSO, Force Soccer Club, Surfside Volleyball Clu, South Bay Volleyball Club, El Segundo Gunners, West High, Torrance High and others.

Melissa comes to PRIME ATHLETES with a tremendous passion for sports and fitness.  She brings a wealth of multi-sport experience from her high school days as a Florida All-State Volleyball Player and Team Captain to high jumping for a Division I National Championship Track & Field team at Florida State University.  Her experience includes extensive strength and conditioning with past and present Olympians such as Sprint Training, Hurdle Drills, Stadiums, Ramps, Speed Conditioning, Olympic Weightlifting, and Event Specific Jump Training.   She is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a member of the American Heart Association and IDEA Health and Fitness Association.  Melissa is dedicated to staying on top of the most current trends in the fitness and nutritional industries. 

In addition to her work with athletes, Melissa works as a private personal trainer designing programs for Toning, Weight Loss, Cardio, Strength and Athletic Conditioning. She is passionate about encouraging and motivating her clients to improve their Speed, Agility, Strength, Power and Jumping Ability for all sports. 

Melissa has been a committed athlete and has enjoyed sharing her enthusiasm, passion and knowledge with others to help them reach their goals.

Sheldon has been involved in Professional and Collegiate Sports and Personal

and Group Training for 10 years before joining PRIME ATHLETES.  Previously with VERT Fitness, Spectrum Athletic Club and Bally’s Total Fitness, Sheldon has had the opportunity to work with a variety of athletes in helping them reach their performance and fitness goals. 

Sheldon was Team Captain at Florida International University during his time on the Men’s Basketball Team.  There he had the opportunity to train under Lou Denean, a Top Collegiate and Professional Trainer, where he gained invaluable training experience and knowledge in plyometrics, weightlifting, kickboxing, boxing and aquatics.  Sheldon was also a member of the Winthrop University Men’s Basketball Team where he was Team Spokesman and Youth Mentor.  Post College, Sheldon played Professional Basketball all across Europe.  He has coached numerous Youth Basketball Skills Camps and Training Clinics.

Sheldon is a great mentor and role model for kids and really knows how to lead teams and inspire athletes to train hard and have fun while you’re achieving your goals.
